There is very basic question we ask ourselves sometimes that what is the difference between liking someone very much and actually loving someone. Also what falling in love means and why use the word falling. Both the questions have similar answers. We can know the very truth about our feelings about liking or loving someone if we ask ourselves some basic questions. One if we expect the person involved to respond in the same manner as we want them to then you can say that it is more of liking than love because when we love we do so unconditionally without expectations. Also we can see the difference when we are angry with them if the heart forces the mind to think rationally and look at their point of view then you can say that yes you are in love whereas if you feel all betrayed and misunderstood then you need to give more time for the relation to develop. You will know the difference when you list out your priorities at a time when u both are upset. If you are strong enough to give a shoulder when needed forgetting your troubles then you are in love no question about it because you know that the smile that you can bring on their face is priceless and you will forget all your troubles when you see the smile back on because that is all you live for don’t you. But if you feel that your problem needs attention and it’s a major one compared to the small hassles being pointed out then at the most you can be a good friend. Similarly there are many situations when the way we react tells us what we feel for people involved and to be truthful you cant lie to your own self so at one time or the other it is clear to you whether you like a person or you are in love for the answer lies within us we just need to be honest enough to search for them. Again when we talk of falling in love we talk of a relation that involves give and take, which is more of a convenient adjustment rather than the one of give it all, which makes any relation a truly divine one.
